To modify privileges on any instrument, you must be a super-user for that instrument. There are three types of "super-users" in a hierarchical order. They are:
A user may have more than one privilege for a cohort or an instrument and several users may be added, deleted, and/or modified at a time.
1. Adding a new user
Select an instrument, that you wish to grant a new user to, from the left column. The privilege table for this instrument is shown.
Click the "Add User" button on the right side. A new row will be added to the bottom of the privilege table.
Select a new user in the first column (which is a combo box containing all users).
Assign the appropriate privilege to the new user by clicking one check box from column 2 to column 4 accordingly.
Save changes by closing this window (click the
button in the upper right corner). A confirmation window will be displayed. Click the "OK" button in the confirmation window to save the changes, or click "Cancel" to go back to the previous window without applying any changes to the privilege table.
2. Deleting a user
Select an instrument, from which you want to delete a user, from the left column.
Select the user that you want to delete and click the "Delete User" button.
Exit the window to view a confirm table.
Save the changes by closing this window (click the
button in the upper right corner). A confirmation window will be displayed. Click the "OK" button in the confirmation window to save the changes, or click "Cancel" to go back to the previous window without applying any changes to the privilege table.
3. Updating a user's privilege
Select an instrument that you wish to modify from the left column.
Click the check boxes from column 2 to column 4 for changing users' privileges.
You may restore the original privilege records by clicking the "Restore" button.
Save the changes by closing this window (click the
button in the upper right corner). A confirmation window will be displayed. Click the "OK" button in the confirmation window to save the changes, or click "Cancel" to go back to the previous window without applying any changes to the privilege table.
4. Restore button
You can undo the changes by clicking the "Restore" button (while the Restore button is in view).
